Description
In this particular carpet an intricate technique where closing the slit is done, where the weft strands/horizontal threads are wrapped around the counted warp strands/ vertical threads, which results in the colors and pattern, and make it possible to use both sides of the flat weave kilim. This kilim is produced by the Gulmori Tribe near the Chai Khana town of Afghanistan.
Mostly boldly colored with strong and clear dyes such as reds, blues, rusty browns, etc. These come with very elementary finishing, and the wool used is usually coarse.
