Description

Kilims are flat weaved carpets which  are made by interweaving warp/vertical and weft/horizontal strands weaved together, which results in flat weaved pile.

This particular  kilim has used the technique closing the slit, where the weft strands/horizontal threads and wrapped around the counted warp strands/vertical threads, which results in separating the colors and pattern, and makes it possible to use both sides of the flat weave kilim. This kilim is produced in the tribal areas of Kashgai in Iran.
