Description

This kilim is produced by the Gulmori Tribe of Afghanistan using intricate techniques where closing the slit is done, the weft strands/horizontal threads are wrapped around the counted warp strands/ vertical threads, which results in the colors and pattern, making it possible to use both sides of the flat weave kilim.

Beautiful color schemes with large, hooked diamond patterns. Used as a compartmentalisation techniques. All natural vegetables dyes, techniques used are interlock and slit weave.
