Woven with finely hand-spun wool, using the slit-weave technique. The design origins are easily recognisable as South Persian.
However, the choice of colour used for the dyes shows its South Afghanistan origins.
This is a large sized piece, as most kilims from this area come in smaller or more peculiar sizes.
