Description

This kilim is produced by the Gulmori tribe of Afghanistan using intricate techniques where closing the slit is done. The weft strands/horizontal threads are wrapped around the counted warp strands/ vertical threads, which results in the colors and pattern, making it possible to use both sides of the flat weave kilim.

The strong colors depicted in the kilim will soften with age. Giving rich dark colors, suitable for many designed interiors.
