Meshadi Kilims are know for their distinctive horizontal stripe designs that contains Soumak embroidery on it. The flat weave pile is made with plain weaving technique and finished with diagonal pattern embroidery on it. Most kilims are found in narrow long sizes, becuase the village houses in Meshad tribes have narrow looms in their living rooms or workshops, these carpets show beautiful shades of red, violet and indigo in their designs.
