Description

In this particular carpet an intricate technique closing the slit is done, where the weft strands/horizontal threads are wrapped around the counted warp strands/ vertical threads, which results in the colors and pattern, and make it possible to use both sides of the flat weave kilim. This kilim is produced by the Maimana Tribe near the Chai Khana town of Afghanistan.
