Description
Description
The Garden of Eden Buktiari pattern exists in the town of Bukhtiar as the favoured garden of King Abbas of Persia. Made in Qum which is a holy city for Shia Islam. Carpets made in Qum are not only famous in Persia, but also all over the world. This is a fine example of fine silk from a golden cocoon with one of the highest number of knots per square inch, normally it ranges between 800-1000 knots/sq inch.
all the dyes are taken from plant roots and flowers like saffron.
